Characteristics of Master Study Programmes

• Advanced studies focused on comprehensive education;
• Studies that are best suited for those who want to continue their studies immediately after obtaining a bachelor’s degree or who have taken a minimal study break;
• The duration of studies is 2 years, which consists of 1 year. special subjects, 0.5 m. optional subjects – Artes liberales study principle for personal growth, development of other competences or mobility window for study/practice abroad and 0.5 m. preparation of the thesis;
• Study schedule – studying from Wed-Fri from 5:30 p.m.;
• The classes are conducted in the auditorium, broadcasting them via MS Teams, but up to 30% of the classes can be conducted remotely;
• State-funded and non-funded places;
• The possibility of obtaining a double diploma (with the VMU diploma, a foreign university diploma is also obtained).

Characteristics of Postgraduate Master Study Programmes

• Concentrated extension studies focused on practical activities;
• Studies that are best suited for persons with different knowledge, who are already working or intending to work in business, who want to retrain, learn throughout their life;
• The duration of studies is 1.5 years, which consists of 1 year. special subjects and 0.5 m. preparation of the thesis;
• Study schedule – studying 4 days a month intensively;
• Classes are conducted in the auditorium, broadcasted via MS Teams;
• Studying in cycles deepens only one study subject at a time;
• Places not financed by the state;
• Fellow students representing different areas of business.

Admission to the VMU Faculty of Economics and Management Master’s degree studies is open to candidates with various education and work experience:

• Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in the same or a related field of study;
• Graduates of bachelor’s programs in other fields of study – when the related studies or additional studies in the respective field are completed and/or at least one year of related practical experience are available;

Double degree studies are conducted together with other foreign universities. In the first academic year, studies are conducted in Lithuania, in the second year of studies, students go to study at a double degree partner university. There is an additional selection of candidates for double degree studies.
