Minor Studies

How do you build a broad knowledge base and a wider worldview? EVF minors let you add a second study field alongside your main programme at no extra cost (within the VMU study plan), strengthening not only your CV but also how you understand the world. It’s real value not just for the job market, but also for personal growth—and a direct path into Graduate Studies without additional prerequisite (“bridging”) courses.

Why choose it?

  • A second field at no extra cost. For VMU students, as part of the study plan—added value without added expenses.
  • Broader competencies. Economics, Marketing, Management, or Innovation Design alongside your main field = wider thinking and better decision-making.
  • A stronger CV. Two fields = higher competitiveness and a clearer professional trajectory.
  • A smoother path to Graduate Studies. After completing a minor, you can enter EVF Graduate programmes without “bridging” courses.
  • Networks and activities. Access to the EVF environment: projects, clubs, events—more people, more opportunities.

How does it work?

  • Who can choose it. All VMU Undergraduate students, regardless of their main study field.
  • When you can start. From Year 1 (based on an individual study plan).
  • How you study. You take EVF Undergraduate courses together with the main programme students; some courses may be offered in Lithuanian or English, on campus or remotely (if that course is delivered in that format).
  • Workload and duration. Depends on the selected minor curriculum and is aligned with your main-study timetable.
  • Rules. Minor programmes are organized according to the rector-approved VMU regulations for minors.
  • Getting started. For building your study plan, contact EVF study administration / your study coordinators.

What can you choose at EVF?

  • Economics – a good fit if you’re interested in how money works and how decisions are made in government and business, and you want data-based answers to “why is it like this?”.
  • Marketing – a good fit if you’re drawn to understanding markets, brands, digital, and sales logic, and you want to create value—not just nice visuals.
  • Business Administration – a good fit if you like how organizations work from the inside: strategy, processes, teams, finance, and delivering results.
  • Creative Business and Innovation Design – a good fit if you want to turn ideas into prototypes and solutions, learn design thinking, and create real impact.
